Energy for Industry Limited (EFI) is New Zealand’s leading provider of energy solutions for industry and a 100% owned subsidiary of Pioneer Generation. 

Washdyke Energy Centre - South Canterbury’s Energy Future.

As part of EFI’s long-term vision to provide sustainable energy futures for New Zealand businesses, EFI has established long-term partnerships with a number of large businesses in Washdyke.

By joining the cluster and outsourcing their steam supply for process heat from the new energy centre, these businesses now receive the benefits of economies of scale, are secure in the knowledge that there is ample capacity should they need to expand production, and are contributing to improved air quality and greater sustainability, as the energy centre is partially fuelled by wood-chip fuel.
