Energy for Industry Limited (EFI) is New Zealand’s leading provider of energy solutions for industry and is a 100% owned subsidiary of Pioneer Generation. 

Washdyke Energy Centre - South Canterbury’s Energy Future.

As part of EFI’s long-term vision to provide sustainable energy futures for New Zealand businesses, EFI has established long term partnerships with a number of large businesses located in Washdyke.

By joining the cluster and outsourcing their steam supply for process heat from the new energy centre these business now receive the benefits of economies of scale, are secure in the knowledge there is ample capacity should they need to expand production and they are contributing to improved air quality and greater sustainability as the energy centre is partially fuelled on wood-chip fuel.
